Adrian Wilson
Adrian is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has 30+ years’ experience as MD of a private professional surveying practice which he established in 1985 and still acts for owners under the provisions of the Party Wall Act 1996 which is a statutory dispute resolution process. Adrian trained and qualified as an arbitrator in 2000, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and as a member of the Academy of Experts was appointed as an expert witness under the CPR (Civil Procedure Rules) on over 100 occasions between 1999-2019.
Adrian has undertaken extensive post graduate study in ADR in both the UK and the USA where he attended Harvard Law School (PON) and studied at Cornell ILR; he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and was a consulting senior academic at Sheffield Hallam University for 21 years, latterly specialising in professional practice/ADR and the supervision of research projects, he retired from the post in 2021. Adrian is currently a registered author for the RICS ISURV facility responsible for the Mediation content of this professional reference platform which he updates bi-annually.
Adrian qualified as an accredited mediator in 2014 having trained with London School of Mediation and ACAS and is registered with both CMC and College of Mediators (AMCM) to carry out civil/commercial, workplace and SEND mediations; he sits on the CMC Accreditation Panel for SEND mediation and is a registered professional Practice Consultant (PPC) for mediators with the College of Mediators.
Prior to joining Global Mediation’s Panel in 2018 Adrian mediated in the civil/commercial, workplace and SEND arena’s and accepted an offer to join the Specialist In House Team in early 2020. Adrian’s day to day role is as a Specialist In House Mediator at Global Mediation with additional responsibilities for the co-ordination of the Supervision Programme, which he co-developed with our COO, as Mediator Liason for the Northern Region Local Authorities and also in the development and delivery of mediation related training.
It is through these activities that Adrian seeks to maintain, promote and enhance Global Mediation’s reputation as a class leading mediation service provider.
